〜アイヌの姉妹の物語〜

北海道阿寒湖生まれのアイヌの姉妹の2011年の物語。

姉・絵美（37）は彫金家の夫と三人の子どもと一緒に、故郷を離れ東京高尾に住んで15年になる。
幼い頃から阿寒湖のコタンでアイヌの唄や踊りを学び、現在は東京を中心にイベントなどでライブ活動をしている。
近所に住む音楽家・海沼武史とともに「riwkakant」名義で発表したCDによってウポポ（アイヌの唄）歌手として評価を得、その天真爛漫なキャラクターも愛されている。
ニックネームはkapiw（カピウ：アイヌ語でカモメ）。

一方、妹の富貴子（35）は阿寒湖畔で家族とともにアイヌ料理屋を営み、阿寒湖の観光船では唄やムックリ（口琴）、トンコリ（弦楽器）を披露しアイヌの民話を伝える【語り部】としても活動している。
姉とは正反対のハッキリした性格の努力家で、その凛とした姿は観光客を惹きつけている。
ニックネームはapappo（アイヌ語で花・福寿草）。
姉妹ともに三児の母。

東京高尾で暮らす絵美は、初のインディーズCD発表から5年が経ち、現在の音楽活動に行き詰まりを感じていた。
３人の子どもを育てながら、ときにはアイヌ関連のイベントに呼ばれ、歌や踊りを披露する日々。
海沼武史とのユニット「riwkakant」での新作録音の話にも、乗り気になれない。
その乗り切れなさは海沼自身も感じていたことだった。「アイヌ」に対する当初の思いは色褪せ、ユニット自体過去のものになろうとしていた。
余裕のない生活の中、いつも頭をよぎるのは故郷の湖のことだった。

一方、阿寒湖アイヌコタンで暮らす富貴子は観光地の忙しい暮らしに追われ、日々披露する歌や演奏・踊りはいつしか【生活の手段】となっていた。
春となれば山に山菜を採り、草木染め、刺繍などのアイヌ文化を学ぶコタンの日常。
観光船での観光客とのやりとり。四季それぞれに美しい阿寒湖の風景。
コタンに根を下ろし伝統を受け継ぐことに誇りをもつ富貴子だったが、姉の活躍ぶりに眼が行かないわけではなかった。

それぞれにアイヌ音楽の世界で活躍する二人だが、今まで一緒にステージに立つことはなかった。
その機も熟しつつある頃、東日本大震災が起きる。
絵美は夏休みに入った子供を連れて阿寒湖に避難里帰りするが、そこでは二人のデュオライブの企画が立ちあがっていた。
本番が近づき追い詰められナーバスになる富貴子。
富貴子への対応に苦慮する絵美。

「フッキにとって歌ってなに？なんで歌ってんの！？」
「仕事だから」
「あたしはフッキと歌うとき、仕事関係ない！」

仲良しの二人が時に喧嘩し、反目しながらも支えあい、初めてのライブを成功させるまでの物語。

絵美とアイヌ音楽ユニット・riwkakantを主宰する地元音楽家の愛憎入り交じったアイヌ民族否定論。
そして東日本大震災での放射能禍に翻弄される絵美の家族の姿をともに描く。

Meanwhile, my sister Tomiko (35) runs an Ainu restaurant with his family on the bank of Akan Lake, and on sightseeing boats of Lake Akan, he shows songs, mochikuri (tune), tongkori (string instrument) and conveys Ainu's folk tales Are active.
It is a striking character with a clearly opposite character from my older sister, whose dignified figure attracts tourists.
The nickname is apappo (Ainu language flower · Fukushi grass).
Both sisters are the mothers of three children.

Emi living in Tokyo Takao, five years since the introduction of the first indies CD, I felt the current music activity stalled.
Educating singing and dancing, sometimes called Ainu-related events, while raising 3 children.
I can not be bothered by talking about new recordings in the unit "riwkakant" with Takefusa Kaiunumi.

Meanwhile, Tomiko who lives in Akkotanku Akan is chased by the busy lives of tourist attractions, singing and dancing performed everyday became 【means of living】.
In the spring, Kotan's everyday life, taking mountain vegetables in the mountain, learning Ainu culture such as plant dyeing, embroidery.
Interaction with tourists by sightseeing boat. A beautiful landscape of Lake Akan in each of the four seasons.
It was Takako who is proud of taking down the root in Kotan and inheriting tradition, but his sister's eyes did not go away for the first time in his career.

Although they are active in the world of Ainu music, they have never been on stage together until now.

Emi took refuge to the lake of Akan with the children who entered the summer vacation, but there were two Duo Live projects planned there.
